OKPreps 2019 Top 10 Rankings

1) DAX HILL – Booker T Washington – Defensive Back

The younger brother of Oklahoma State running back Justice Hill, Dax Hill is quickly making his own name. Hill is one of the fastest players in the state and uses that speed to his advantage as a defensive back.

2) GRAYSON BOOMER – Collinsville – Athlete

Another younger brother. It’s not a trend. Grayson Boomer, brother of Seth Boomer who signed with Tulsa, is every bit of 6’5 and 225 pounds. We rank Boomer as an athlete because it’s not obvious yet where he’ll play at the next level. Tight end or defensive end.

3) DEMARIYON HOUSTON – Millwood – Wide Receiver

One of the fastest rising recruits regardless of class. Millwood receiver Demariyon Houston is a part of a very young and talented Millwood team. He’s already blown up this spring.

4) COLLIN CLAY – Putnam City – Defensive End

One of the must stops this spring will be at Putnam City to see Ron Tatum III. On the other end of the line you’ll see perhaps the best defensive linemen in the 2019 class in Collin Clay.

5) COLE MASHBURN – Norman North – Defensive End

Okay, the trend of little brothers continues here. Cole Mashburn, brother of Memphis signee Cade Mashburn, made a huge splash during his sophomore campaign. He’ll be looked to be one of the leaders this fall.

6) WILL PHILLIPS – Enid – Running Back

Enid’s Will Phillips emerged as a prospect to watch last spring. He backed that up with a fantastic sophomore season running the ball. He’s without a doubt the best running back in the 2019 class.

7) RICHARD STROMBERG – Union – Offensive Lineman

Union has been a mainstay in the 2017 and 2018 player rankings. 2019 won’t be any different with Richard Stromberg. He’s the early leader in the clubhouse for top lineman in the 2019 class.

8) DJ JONES – Booker T Washington – Wide Receiver

Booker T Washington is known for their speed. Look at Dax Hill. On the offensive side of the ball, it’s DJ Jones. He can line up in the slot or on the outside and beat his man.

9) JD Kolb – Choctaw – Running Back

Kolb was the lightning to Tyrel Bell’s thunder last year for Choctaw. This year, he’ll be the feature back for the Yellowjackets. He’s looking to have a breakout season.

10) AJ NEWSOME – Putnam City – Quarterback

The lefty is a quarterback on the rise and we’re looking forward to seeing how he’s progressed this offseason during spring ball.
