Caleb Nero Commits To Wisconsin-Milwaukee

Memorial guard Caleb Nero announced on Friday that he had committed to Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Nero went on a visit to campus earlier this year and got along great with the coaching staff. A few weeks later, Nero announced his commitment to play D1 basketball at the college level. Nero has elevated his game every year after bursting onto the scene during his sophomore campaign.

Nero averaged over 25 points per game for Memorial on their way to a 5A state championship this year. Nero was the 5A state tourney MVP and was one of ten players named as anĀ OKPreps Player Of The Year finalist. He finished off the long list of accolades as an OKPreps All State 1st Team selection.

Nero’s senior campaign was one of the best seasons in school history. Nero set the single season record for most points. When you think about all the names Nero went by on the way to the top spot, it’s something to say. Nero added to the Memorial legacy with a championship in March as well as solidify his spot as one of the best guards to come out of Memorial.

“Caleb Nero is the best offensive weapon I’ve ever coached,” Memorial head coach Bobby Allison said after their state championship victory. “He can be explosive and take over when he needs to and he also gets his teammates involved constantly.”
