The Comet Clash will be a ten team event with five teams making up two pools. Pool play will begin at 9AM, with each team getting four games of pool play before 1PM. Bracket play will begin in the afternoon and the top four teams will advance to Stroud on Sunday. Here’s a look at each pool.

Pool A
Booker T Washington
Coweta
Jenks
Lincoln Christian
Owasso

Pool B
Bishop Kelley
Bixby
Broken Arrow
Dewey
Shawnee

The tournament field is headlined by the three big schools in Broken Arrow, Jenks and Owasso. However, The Comet Clash will also feature three-time defending 6A-D2 champion Bixby, as well as potent passing teams like Coweta, Lincoln Christian and Shawnee.

Pool A will present the most intriguing match-up as Jenks and Owasso will square off. One of the big storylines going into the 2017 season is the return of Bill Blankenship as Owasso’s head coach. We’ll also see the return of the Blankenship-Trimble rivalry after over a decade. Jenks and Owasso will square off during the regular season on August 25th.
