Voting for this week’s OKPreps Fan’s Favorite has ended and we have two great winners. Bartlesville guard Jena Williams won the Fan’s Favorite award for girls basketball after winning with 58% of the vote. Hale guard Ray’Quan Elliott won the Fan’s Favorite award for boys basketball after winning with 54% of the vote. Stay tuned to OKPreps to find out who the staff picked as this week’s OKPreps Player Of The Week. Until then, check out what Elliott and WIlliams were able to do to earn Fan’s Favorite.
Hale went 1-1 this week and guard Ray’Quan Elliott could not be slowed down. Despite the loss to McLain, Elliott showed out once again as he has the Rangers considered a threat to cause some havoc in Class 5A this season. Elliott scored 43 points in the loss to the Titans but it was what he did earlier in the week that was more impressive. Elliott went off in their 103-79 win over Webster. He dropped 52 points in their blowout win over Webster. Before Mason Harrell had back to back 52-point nights, it was Elliott dropping 50+ points on Tuesday night.
Bartlesville remained undefeated with road wins over Broken Arrow and Union. Junior guard Jena Williams was outstanding as the Lady Bruins ran away with road wins before a very busy week. Williams scored 25 points in a 54-21 win over Broken Arrow. She was a perfect 7-7 from three-point range. Williams also scored Bartlesville’s first 14 points in the win. She added 24 points in their 53-33 win over Union and they finished the game on a 19-0 run. Bartlesville’s next game is at #6 Owasso and then they’re in a loaded tournament field at Fort Gibson.
