Claremore Sequoyah 2018 running back Miguel Fulgencio has committed to Wyoming. The pipeline of standout Oklahomans heading northwest to Wyoming continues with Fulgencio’s commitment. The Eagle standout went on his official visit back in the fall and has been sold on the Cowboys ever since. His best game of the year came in a win over Verdigris. He earned OKPreps Player Of The Week honors after he finished with an eye-opening 440 yards and six touchdowns on just 17 carries. He also caught a 50 yard touchdown pass. He totaled nearly 500 total yards of offense and he touched the ball less than 20 times. Five of his seven touchdowns were 50 yards or more.
Fulgencio had his senior season cut short to an injury. Despite that, he still ran for more than 1,000 yards and 17 touchdowns on just 85 carries. Fulgencio was ranked as a DB in the last Big Board ranking but will be rated as a running back when the next Big Board comes out next week. He also ranked as the 42nd best overall prospect in the 2018 class. Fulgencio becomes the second Oklahoman to commit to a D1 program after the first signing period in December. Broken Arrrow defensive tackle Derrick Shaw committed to North Texas.
