The 2017-2018 athletic year has come to a close. Schools will be wrapping up classes before moving on to summer vacation. Looking back at the 2017-2018 season, we saw some fantastic performances, great games and improbable runs to state championship glory. All in all, 76 different schools captured state championships during the 2017-2018 school year. However, only one school can carry the distinction as the best of the best.
Heritage Hall led the state with five state championships this year. The Chargers captured state championships in boys basketball, golf and tennis. Along with a championship in girls tennis. They also won their sixth state championship in football back in December. It’s no secret that Heritage Hall has one of the top athletic programs in the state, so it should be no surprise that the Chargers are raking in more hardware than anyone else.
Right behind the Chargers were Booker T Washington, Edmond North and Tuttle, who all finished with four state championships on the year.
