Putnam City defensive end Collin Clay II will need to learn how to call the Hogs after committing to Arkansas. Clay picked Arkansas over Georgia, Oklahoma State, Oregon and TCU. Clay made his decision during a live TV interview at a Buffalo Wild Wings in Oklahoma City.
Clay is ranked as the top defensive lineman in Oklahoma on the OKPreps Big Board. Clay is currently ranked as the third best overall prospect in Oklahoma’s 2019 class. The OKPreps 2019 Rankings will be updated on Tuesday. Earlier this summer, Clay said his decision date was September 21st but decided earlier this week to push that up.
Clay is the 14th prospect in Oklahoma’s 2019 class to commit to a D1 program. However, Clay is the first prospect to give his commitment to Arkansas. The Razorbacks are in hot pursuit of plenty of the other top prospects in Oklahoma. Chad Morris is heading into his first year as Arkansas’ head coach after being the head coach at SMU. Morris was interviewed by several media outlets last week and talked about how Tulsa and Oklahoma in general would be an important recruiting ground for the Razorbacks.
Stay tuned to OKPreps for more on Clay’s commitment to Arkansas.
