Christian Heritage junior Rylee Langerman committed to Arkansas on Wednesday evening. The CHA standout is one of the best point guards in Oklahoma’s 2020 class and the Lady Razorbacks landed her. While she can’t sign with Arkansas until next November, Langerman will join a team that features former Bixby standout Sydney Stout and former Preston and Sapulpa standout Chelsea Dungee. Arkansas also signed current Lawton Ike senior Ginger Reece for their 2019 class.
Langerman has helped lead Christian Heritage to back to back 2A state championships. The Lady Crusaders have been one of the more dominant teams in the last two seasons. They’re 57-5 in the last two years and that includes a perfect 30-0 mark last season. They’ve been moved up to Class 3A this season and when the first rankings came out on Monday, Christian Heritage was ranked fourth behind Tahlequah Sequoyah, Kingston and Adair.
Langerman is one third of a three-headed monster that has led CHA over the course of their current run. Senior Olivia Curtis was the 2018 state tournament MVP. She’s headed to OU to play volleyball at the next level. Junior Lexie Davis was the 2017 state tournament MVP as a freshman and gives Christian Heritage another scoring threat.
Christian Heritage has won 36 consecutive games dating back to the 2017 playoffs. They open their season next week in the Jim Elliot Classic.
