On a cold rainy day, the action on the hardwood heated up this evening. As today’s results led to two huge Championship match ups at the Putnam City Invitational and the McGuinness Classic.
At Putnam City West, the two top prospects in the 405 both stepped up to lead their squads to the title game. First, sophomore Trey Alexander and his Heritage Hall Chargers took apart Putnam City North. Then in the night cap, Rondel Walker and Putnam City West stormed out of the gates, and avenged their earlier loss to Putnam City. Now, Walker and Alexander will square off at 6:00 PM on Saturday at Putnam City West.
Over at the McGuinness Classic, Edmond Santa Fe rolled over Norman North, while Edmond Memorial out-muscled and held off Midwest City to set up another Edlam match up. Earlier in the season at the Edmond Open Championship, Memorial and Santa Fe squared off. The Wolves won 65-54. Now they’ll play at 7:30 PM at Bishop McGuinness.
Also included in this post is highlights of Edmond North’s win over Lawton Eisenhower in the consolation bracket at the PCI.
