The 2019 football season has come and gone. Now it’s time to recap it! Continuing today, and finishing up on January 1st, we’ll have postseason content from season in reviews to all state teams every day. Be sure to check back in with OKPreps every day for a new feature. Today, we announce the ten finalists for the 2019 OKPreps Player Of The Year. You can watch the video above for a complete breakdown on each finalist, including highlights from their seasons.

And starting today, you can vote for this year’s Fan’s Favorite winner. Voting begins today and will end on December 31st and the winner will be crowned that day. The staff pick for OKPreps Player Of The Year will be announced on January 1st.

THE FINALISTS

METRO CHRISTIAN QB ASHER LINK THREW FOR OVER 4,000 YARDS & 52 TOUCHDOWNS. HE ALSO RAN FOR OVER 1,350 YARDS AND 21 TOUCHDOWNS, LEADING METRO TO A TITLE.
PLAINVIEW WR BLAKE NOWELL WAS ONE OF THE BEST ATHLETES IN OKLAHOMA, FINISHING WITH 20 TOTAL TD’S AND LEADING PLAINVIEW TO THE 3A TITLE GAME.
BIXBY’S BRENNAN PRESLEY FINISHED WITH NEARLY 100 CATCHES FOR OVER 1,500 YARDS AND 24 TD’S. HE ALSO SCORED TD’S IN 4 OTHER WAYS, HELPING BIXBY WIN ANOTHER TITLE.
LINCOLN CHRISTIAN QB CHASE RICKE THREW FOR 3,500 YARDS AND 51 TD’S, COMPLETING 75% OF HIS PASSES, HELPING LINCOLN CLAIM THE 3A STATE CHAMPIONSHIP.
OWASSO QB COLE DUGGER THREW FOR OVER 3,300 YARDS AND 42 TD’S WITH ONLY 2 INT’S, HELPING OWASSO TO THEIR FIRST PERFECT SEASON AND ANOTHER STATE TITLE.
VIAN’S ELIJAH WRIGHT DID A LITTLE BIT OF EVERYTHING, HELPING LEAD THE WOLVERINES TO A 2A RUNNER UP FINISH. HE STARRED ON DEFENSE WITH 16 SACKS.
STILLWATER QB GUNNAR GUNDY WAS FLAWLESS FOR THIS YEAR’S 6A-D2 RUNNER UP, THROWING FOR NEARLY 3,500 YARDS AND 47 TD’S WITH ONLY 3 INT’S.
HERITAGE HALL’S PHILLIP SMITHERMAN WAS LIGHTS OUT AS A RECEIVER AND A DEFENSIVE BACK FOR THE CHARGERS, FINISHING WITH 15 TD’S & OVER 100 TACKLES.
THE ONLY JUNIOR MAKING THE LIST, STILLWATER’S QWONTREL WALKER RAN FOR OVER 2,000 YARDS AND 32 TOUCHDOWNS IN 2019.
LAST YEAR’S OKPREPS PLAYER OF THE YEAR, EDISON RB SEVION MORRISON WAS ONCE AGAIN ONE OF THE BEST IN OKLAHOMA WITH NEARLY 1,800 YARDS & 26 TD’S.
