ADAIR 42, WILL ROGERS 35
3A’s #3 Adair opened up the 2019 Tournament Of Champions with a 42-35 win over 5A’s #3 Will Rogers. The Lady Warriors were led by Grace Johnson, who led all scorers with 17 points. Johnson shined as Adair is working senior Autumn Hines back into the lineup after she suffered an injury two weeks ago. DEL CITY 66, GARBER 58
5A’s #1 Del City knocked off A’s #4 Garber to open their Tournament Of Champions run. The Eagles would outscore the Wolverines 30-14 in the second quarter to put Garber in a hole that they couldn’t climb out of. Despite several runs in the second half, the Eagles held on to win. Leading the way was Keyondre Young, who finished with 22 points to lead all scorers. Check out the highlights and hear from head coach Lenny Hatchett following the win.
MULDROW 60, COWETA 31
4A #4 Muldrow used a second quarter where they outscored Coweta 21-2 to coast to a 60-31 victory in the opening round of the Tournament Of Champions. The Lady Bulldogs are looking to go back to back as tournament champions and they’re off to a great start. Check out some of the highlights and hear from head coach Jana Armer following the win.
BOOKER T WASHINGTON 81, DUKE 32
Top ranked Booker T Washington started off fast as they ran away to an 81-32 victory over Duke. The Hornets led 24-12 after the first quarter and would go on another run late in the third quarter and into the fourth quarter to really put things away. Star guard Bryce Thompson led the way with 31 points for BTW. Check out some of the highlights and hear from head coach Conley Phipps following the win.
MOORE 67, OOLOGAH 41
Moore jumped out to a big first quarter lead and would roll to a 67-41 win over Oologah in the opening round of the Tournament Of Champions. Star junior forward Aaliyah Moore showed why she’s one of the best in Oklahoma as she led the Lady Lions with 19 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in the win. HERITAGE HALL 47, MILLWOOD 40
Heritage Hall knocked off Millwood for the second time in the last month. The Chargers opened up their Tournament Of Champions run with a 47-40 win over the Falcons. The Chargers were led by their junior superstar Trey Alexander, who finished with 22 points to lead all scorers. He also grabbed 12 rebounds in the win.
